Monetary Donations
The Vintage Radio and Communications Museum is supported by its members, volunteers and donations. We're an all-volunteer run museum. We've been able to thrive since 1991 because of our core volunteers and those who have financially supported us.
UNEXPECTED EXPENSES HIT VRCMCT:
We received unexpected news in late May 2024 that we are required to pay for the continuation of the sewer line along Pierson Lane, where the museum is located. The cost is to be split among five property owners on this stretch of road - and our portion is estimated to be $28,000, with an additional $12,000+ to connect the sewer line to the museum building itself.
As an all-volunteer run museum, we do not have those funds on-hand, nor did we expect this expense to occur so quickly. The project is expected to begin immediately - Summer of 2024. We have had our share of challenges over the last 34 years of the Museum - and we are hopeful that with your help and donations, we can once again move forward with our mission to educate and share communications history with our diverse group of visitors for many years to come.
Item Donations
The vast majority of items on display at the museum have come from donations. We welcome donations of vintage communications equipment and related items such as books, recorded material, parts and advertising items.
Please send all donation inquiries to radioclctr@aol.com, where they will be evaluated by Museum Director John Ellsworth. Please provide us with as much information as possible about your potential donation.
We cannot take all donations due to space restrictions. The museum is currently not accepting any record donations, except for transcription discs & Edison discs/cylinders.
Please note: Most donations to the museum can be used as a tax deduction. Please consult your tax adviser.
